The Festival URBAN POETRY in 2015 will take place 10-13/06 in creative territories of Rīga. The Festival URBAN POETRY is an international multidisciplinary contemporary art event and the theme of this edition is CREATIVE TERRITORIES.

POETRY SLAM

Entrance free of charge!
As usual Poetry Slam organized by Poetry Latvia and Spikeri Quarter. The winner will get special prize – 100 EUR. Terms as usual – each participant is given 3 minutes to read / recite a poem. Anyone can apply. 1 round of 12 participating members. After the jury in the second round penetrates half – 6 participants, but in the finals – only 3 gives the jury its own assessment of each participant’s performance on a scale from 1 to 10. The counting results in the highest and lowest mark is not taken into account. Participants in the 3 performances previously invited representatives from the literature and any other artistic genre, as well as one representative from the audience and the audience all together.

Festival is organized by Totaldobže Art Centre in collaboration with Association of Creative Quarters and Territories, Kaņepes Culture Centre, Kalnciema and Spīķeru Quarters, Free Riga and Goethe-Institut Riga.
